Opera Singer

Opera and operetta are full of bravura passages for baritones. Louis Puthod enjoys being onstage as these characters, accompanied by a pianist, a small or a full orchestra.

He performs with passion the baroque or classical aria of Lulli, Haendel and others, and he brings to life the drama of Milakanta in Lakmé by Delibes or the comic in the scenes of Leporello in Don Juan by Mozart.

With the Orchestre Français de Musique Légère under the direction of Claude Charles, at the Salle Pleyel in Paris, Louis Puthod interpreted the roles of Dapertutto, Lindorf in the Contes d’Hoffman
The Tales of Hoffmann; of the Baron of Gondremarck and of the Brazilian in La Vie Parisienne Parisian life by Offenbach; of Henri in Les cloches de Corneville The Chimes of Normandy or The Bells of Corneville by Robert Planquette; of Danilo in La Veuve Joyeuse – The Merry Widow by Lehar; and others.

These aria and operetta tunes alternate very well with melodies and give the recital a festive atmosphere!
